
Director of Marketing
Faraday Bicycles is accepting applications for a full time Director of Marketing to join our team. This is the challenge of your career - take everything you have ever learned about building brands, engaging consumers, and growing sales, and apply it to transforming short-range transportation as we know it.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to inherit and evolve the Faraday brand as we look to increase our visibility and presence in the market through a variety of online and retail channels. The ideal candidate will be undaunted by the challenge of growing sales in a nascent market category, and willing and able to apply a quantitative approach to learning from while simultaneously challenging the conventions of the bicycle industry.

Key responsibilities + expectations :
- Coordinate with CEO on overall sales channel strategy (online, dealer, retail, etc.).
- Establish annual sales targets with executive team (CEO, COO, CFO, etc.).
- Manage re-fresh and on-going development of Faraday website
- Optimize website landing page and checkout flow to increase conversion
- Prioritize and manage all online marketing spend within an allowed budget (SEO, PPC, retargeting, etc.)
- Track analytics to measure and assess marketing performance and reach.
- Engage and grow Faraday audience through social media.
- Coordinate and manage PR, either directly or via external contractors/agencies.
- Select and manage external creative contractors and agencies.
- Manage creation of compelling content and marketing assets (print, video, etc.) to support the Faraday brand.
- Create, maintain, and leverage strategic relationships to build brand awareness and increase sales.
- Define and evolve the Faraday brand identity through photo and video content, graphic content, and retail build-out.
- Write copy consistent with the Faraday voice (web, email marketing, print, social, etc.)
- Build sales and marketing team as budget allows to support established sales goals.
- Clearly communicate sales and marketing goals and strategy to the entire Faraday team on a regular basis.
Experience + Qualifications:
- Past experience directing quantitative marketing efforts for a consumer-facing organization.
- Deep familiarity using analytics, A/B testing, and other methods to refine customer segmentation and optimize marketing efforts.
- Basic coding (html/css/javascript/etc.) abilities strongly preferred.
- Strong design and creative sensibilities required. Ability to manage creatives/contractors to produce content consistent with a "design-driven" consumer brand.
- Good to excellent familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with managing and creating PR.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Budget development and oversight experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing projects and teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High comfort level working in a fast-paced startup environment.
